AR Visual Listening Guide

FOR ORCHESTRAS

Symphony Graphique is very pleased to now offer an innovative enhancement to the Visual Listening Guide—augmented reality!

Using the app powered by Immersive Publishing Ltd, the printed pages of any Visual Listening Guide are brought to life by launching—on a smartphone or tablet—brief audio music clips that highlight and reveal the structure of the piece. The app can also “unlock” educational digital content, such as audio and video interviews, informational text panels, and image galleries, at various points throughout the Guide.

Orchestras can choose to pair any printable Visual Listening Guide with a bespoke version of the app, customized with their own audio recordings and digital content. There’s no limit to the amount of content that can be added, and media clips can be as long or as short as required. The user doesn’t have to constantly hold the smart device over the page; once the content is launched they can sit back and enjoy it. The app can also be customized with the orchestra’s visual branding, thereby giving their audiences a bespoke and beautifully curated multi-media experience.

In and beyond the concert hall, the Visual Listening Guide is already a highly effective engagement tool that fosters active listening, thereby developing audience appreciation for symphonic music and for the orchestras that perform it. With the AR app, the Guide empowers orchestras to connect even more directly and deeply with their audiences.

How it works

In partnership with Symphony Graphique, Immersive Publishing Ltd will work with orchestras and recording companies to ensure permission and related copyrights are covered to create this unique experience.
